What We Can Offer You

Great Versatility

The flat surface provides space for various uses, such as the installation of solar panels, outdoor living spaces or HVAC units.

Ease of Maintenance

Flat roofs are easier to inspect and maintain due to their accessible surface, which helps in detecting and addressing potential issues promptly.

Quick Installation

Flat roofs install relatively quickly compared to pitched roofs. This efficiency stems from their simpler design, which requires fewer materials and less structural support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about flat roofing. Not seeing yours? Phone 07765 038609.

How long does a flat roof last?
Modern EPDM rubber roofs and GRP fibreglass systems last 25 to 50 years when fitted correctly. Felt roofs typically last 10 to 15 years. We will recommend the right system for your budget and use case.
What is the difference between EPDM, GRP and felt?
EPDM is a single sheet of synthetic rubber, extremely durable and easy to maintain. GRP is fibreglass laid in resin, giving a seamless rigid finish. Felt is the most affordable but has the shortest lifespan and most joints.
Why do flat roofs leak?
Most leaks come from old felt cracking, joints opening up, blocked outlets, or poor original installation. EPDM and GRP solve almost all of these problems because there are no joints across the main surface.
Can you repair an existing flat roof?
Yes, where it is economical. If the deck underneath is rotting or the leaks are widespread, a full replacement is usually better value than repeated patching.
Do flat roofs need a slope?
Yes, a slight fall (usually around 1 in 40) directs water to an outlet. Most flat roofs are actually low pitch for exactly this reason. We check and correct the fall if needed during replacement.
What is the best flat roof material for the UK climate?
For most domestic projects we recommend EPDM rubber. It handles British rain, frost and UV without cracking, comes as a single sheet so it is effectively joint free, and lasts decades with minimal maintenance.
